The GEL-ODYSSEY™ shoe is a versatile walking shoe that's built to last. Its SPEVA™ foam midsole goes beyond conventional foams' shock-absorbing properties to increase the shoe's durability while adding a more responsive rebound. There's also a removable OrthoLite™ sockliner, which adds extra comfort and helps manage moisture around your foot, so it doesn't overheat. The shoe has design features that help stop "overpronation"—the foot's tendency to roll inwards when walking. The shoe includes DUOMAX® technology, which consists of two different density midsole materials to provide smooth overpronation control. TRUSSTIC SYSTEM® technology in the midfoot provides added stability when trekking through challenging terrain and helps control twisting throughout your stride. When walking long distances, comfort is key, which is why we've placed our GEL® technology in the rearfoot. This material offers excellent shock absorption, which is useful for activities involving constant impact on the foot. The shoe also includes an AHARPLUS™ heel plug to improve durability and support you over many miles. This AHARPLUS™ rubber is a tough compound used in parts of the outsole where there is more frequent contact to reduce wear and tear.
